Mystery book campaign
This idea stemmed from the popular blind date with a book trend that is now popping up in independent bookshops and Etsy stores the world over! The format has introduced readers to new titles and authors that left to their own devices, they may never have picked up. For our version, the only details we give the readers is the genre. No titles or author name. We have found that this is a really exciting project for our readers to be involved in. They love the mystery of it all and trying to guess who the author is along the way.
The brief:
-
Up to 20 readers.
-
Works well in eBook format.
-
Our bloggers will read in our regular read along format followed by a review tour, once the book details have been revealed.
-
Endless engagement opportunities.
-
Feeds FOMO.
-
Invaluable feedback when a book is read with no prior knowledge to the author or any of their previous work
We recently ran a mystery campaign with Penguin Michael Joseph to promote The Lost Women by Tim Weaver.
