Do I have to rate the book?

No. We are aware that a lot of people prefer to not use the star rating system, so you don't need to if you aren't comfortable with it. If you do, the general rule of thumb we follow is -

5 star - Excellent, a new favourite!
4 star - Great, would recommend
3 star - Good book, worth a read
